Are You Safelist Savvy?

Well let me just say that safelists are by far the best advertising tool that I have! The leads are forever rolling in and all I have to do is dedicate a little time and a little effort to make this happen.

Safelist No No's!

When mailing your advertisements using credits, whether it is once a day or multiple times per day, don't use the same subject! And don't use the exact same ad!

The little bit of effort I was referring to is this, make 7 - 10 ads for your mailings and send them out sequentially! I just received 800 credits from one ad because the person sent identical everything! Thank you! Did I read the ad? Hell no! But I sure did accumulate some serious credits with that one.

Keep your ads short and to the point! I am always interested in other products or services that are available but seriously folks 5,000 words? HTML, 100 or so words with some color and a reason for me to want to look at your product or service would do!

The last no, no that I have for you all is this; links are great, but one ad, and I counted had 34 links in it, to 34 different sites that they apparently wanted me to look at. Did I look? Nope! But I got the credits. Thank you!

Safelist Do's!

Experiment with your own ads. Make it personal. Take the time to write the ad, as if you were the one you were writing for. What is it that would attract you to the website? Why would you even bother to click?

Test your ads, cycle them every 7 days with tracking URLs to see which ads are effective for your advertising efforts. At first, this is a little time consuming but as you get used to it, everything goes quick and you can be off doing something else for your business.

What prompted this post? I was surfing my emails for credits and I got to the point that I was not even entertaining looking at an ad with the above no, no's. I receive 2,000 plus emails a day, the quality that I have been looking at lately is just plain ridiculous!

I challenge all you safelist advertisers,
MAKE ME WANT TO READ YOUR AD!

This challenge alone will get you more leads than you know what to do with.
